I liked the cozy beach, spacious room, tasty and varied food, friendly staff

A hotel is being built nearby and it was noisy. I like to sleep at lunchtime and this was uncomfortable. And it’s a pity that the windows in the room do not open for ventilation. Only doors and no mosquito net, The annoying massai along the beach line also caused tension (you can’t walk or sit quietly by the water), but this does not apply to the hotel. This is generally a feature of Zanzibar

Very overpriced hotel much closer to the 3stars

Great location very nice beach, but very overpriced hotel

Very overpriced hotel, the service and hospitality much closer the 3stars hotel. The breakfast and snacks every single day same, very old fridges. Is something gone like fresh fruits or cheese etc. the customers just waiting to someone refill, the manager in the restaurant not dealing his staff, nothing to present to the customers how happy to do hospitality. The bar staff and receptionist and housekeepers was very helpful and friendly. If you walked in the hotel after dinner, you can meet some prostitutes the customers grabbed them from the beach so the security team doesn’t work well. To much beach boys who dosen’t respect your private place. The hotel charge for you European price, but the service and hospitality very underrated.

Exceptional

Very nice hotel in African style. The rooms are big and very comfortable. There is mosqtuito net. Beds are comfortable. You get 2 1,5l bottles of water every day in the room. Hotel beach is the best on the whole island, it's like in the Maldives. There are guards which keep sellers from disturbing you all the time. Food is ok, but quite basic. The staff is very kind and helpful.

Very Good

Location, beach, pool bar, room clean and well appointed. Good aircon. Beach BBQ was good. Mozzy nets on bed were best we have seen. Security was ever present.

No snacks or food available at pool bar before 4pm, pool bar didnt deliver drinks to people at all.. Rocky paths difficuilt to walk on. No bananas available at breakfast. Transport cost from airport way over top. US$160. This was arranged by reception. Private car was US$50. Wrist bands were a hassle. Towel card seemed ridiculous.

We had a great time on the white beach :)

Hotel Management is doing a great job by following up by themself all the time and checking guest needs, location on the beach is very prime, the facility is simple, unique, and clean. attention to the gust comfortability welcoming us, special thanks to Mr. Yasser the restaurant manager. the beach is clean and a lot of starfish at the clear water, sunset view is amassing from the hotel location.

the toilet doesn't have an ablution, as it was designed for western guests. beach is not private, you might find people from outside the resort using the same beach.

Very good beach hotel. Worth booking.

Wonderful hotel. Amazing beach, delicious food at the restaurant right next to the beach with great views. Very friendly workers, beautiful room. Private beach area on the property in addition to the public beach area very practical. Really enjoyed the short stay here. Great dive center next door (Spanish Dancer Divers).

One time I had to shower cold in the middle of the night, as the warm water didn’t work at the end of my stay. That needs to be fixed and must not happen.

Location! The hotel is located on a very beautiful bay-like beach, the beach itself is jot overcrowded, comparing to the beaches nearby. Staff was very nice and supportive. The room was pretty big and clean.

The hotel is pretty big, with many activities, so for some travelers this might be good, but for me I wanted more solitude. The music at the bar was insanely loud at the evening and sometimes during the daytime

Very Good

The staff at this resort are truly exceptional. They are welcoming and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The most incredible location for swimming and catching the sunsets.

Rooms need some updating. Inform guests in advance regarding maintenance on site and construction at the next property (although this did not hinder our stay as our room was quiet). Breakfast can do with more variety and can be changed daily.

Well i enjoyed my stay it was fun, The sun set is one of the best and the water was amazingly clear

i liked the room, it was spacious and comfy as well us very clean,there was a night service they would come in the evening to refresh it. toilet was super clean, plenty towel around, good amount of toilet paper.

i hated that the walk way is a stone walk way and it was uncomfortable to walk, and i hated that it doesn't have a private beach front, there were to much people hustling u around and was uncomfortable, the other thing was the reception was unattractive

Great stay in between ancient baobabs on an amazing beach

We loved the location, right on one of the most pristine beaches I've ever seen. Daily room cleaning, nice pool and most of all - the attitude of the staff was above average. They let us stay in the room after official check out as my daughter was sick. Also there was awesome resort doctor Edina which was a real angel when my daughter got fever, she helped us a lot.

I saw one of the managers treating his employees in a not very friendly manner during the breakfast, perhaps something to reflect on a bit.

Wonderful

We really liked our stay in Sandies Baobab. The territory of the hotel is picturesque, full with different plants and baobabs. The restaurant is facing the seaside. There is also a different entertainment every evening. Security is doing a great job not letting beach boys to ruin people`s relax time on the hotel beach. I found it a good decision to have a separated beach above the seafront. We walked a bit along Nungwi beach and the hotel`s location is just perfect comparing to other similar hotels.

As previously said in the reviews, it is a bit weird to charge for the same water bottle in the restaurant which is for free in the room. The quality of alcoholic cocktails could be better. Not many choices of the regional dishes.
